I need help planing my honeymoon trip to China & Japan for next spring !!!?

Hi, we are planing on going to China & Japan for 3 weeks for our honeymoon. So far, my idea is to flight to Beijing, stay a week in the area (city + wall), and flight to Osaka. Stay 3-4 days in the area (Osaka / Kobe / Nara - My understanding is that they are really close), and then take the bullet train to Tokyo, staying there for the remaining 6-7 days. It would be our first time in asia, either of us speaks a word of chinese or japanase, but we love to do exciting stuff. We are looking for an incredible trip,.Please, do you have any advice about this itinerary? any ideas or recommendations??? name of places, hotels, ryokans?? any info would help us a lot....
