Texting this girl to much?

Um we just started college and i talked to this girl before it started and she was nice to me before. So on like freshman social i found her and i started talking to her. I mean we talk n all. At first it was like hi bye, stuff like that. Shes a type of person that does what there suppose to do and plays by the rules. So weve been texting each other and we talk and when we see each other we say hi maybe say some stuff but head off in a different direction because we got stuff to do. She recently told me something that happened to her about this boy and it was abt her and her friend. I talked to her like 2 hours about it. Then she asked me to help her move again into a different room because she didn't like her roomate. But sometimes when shes with her friend she ignores me and talks to her friend and when i join it seems like she doesn't want me there. I think its that shes trying to make friends. I've told her my secrets to like some and shes told mer hers to. I think the reason why she may do this is cuz i text her alot. I try avoiding that th emost because thats how i got into trouble with girls in highschool? Can anyone help. Idk it feels like i'm texting her to much. I want to show im interested but i dont want to be like a stalker. The stuff is what i've done with her so far all buy texting no phone conversations.
